treatment for plantar fasciitis
fasciitis plantar

Plantar fasciitis is a very common foot condition that occurs from excessive pressure on the plantar fascia at the bottom of the foot.  This thick band of tissue helps to give your arches support and acts as a spring to help propel you forward.

Pain occurs from excessive strain to the plantar fascia which usually begins close to the heel.  This results as heel pain which may occur with the first steps in the morning or after you have been sitting for awhile.

At A.I.M. Physical Therapy our plantar fasciitis treatment and manual evaluation focuses on finding the causes of this excessive strain on the plantar fascia to alleviate the pressure and pain.  Problems with your foot, ankle, knee, and even hip joints can cause changes in your walking which affect the plantar fascia.  Our comprehensive hands on treatments help to sooth the irritated fascia.  In combination with modalities such as ultrasound, the inflammation is soon relieved and then we can help you get back to walking, running, and doing the activities you love to do.

Ankle Sprain

Sprained ankles are a frequent injury and often can be mild.  However, there are times when the ankle sprain is severe and needs professional medical help.  Ankle swelling and pain can affect your ability to walk properly and do your normal activities. Your doctor may prescribe physical therapy for your ankle sprain to help you recover your ankle’s mobility, decrease swelling, and restore your ability to walk, run, and jump.

At A.I.M. Physical Therapy our manual evaluation and treatment for sprained ankles focuses on helping to alleviate the pressure and pain from the sprain.  It is very important to assess the integrity of your ankle ligaments and the proprioception sense of your ankle.  Many people may re-injury their ankle due to poor balance and ankle weakness.  We make sure that you are able to recover your maximum level your ankle stability and strength.
