Most accidents occur at home, particularly in the bathroom

To increase safety:

· use rubber backed area rugs only, especially on tile

· grab bars should be installed in tub/shower and next to the toilet

· use a spoon instead of a fork for things that roll, like peas

· people with PD eat slowly, allow time, an insulated plate can help keep food warm

· sit in chairs with arms
